Adding Post to Social Media - Facebook or Twitter using Yoast

Quick Guide

1. Create / Edit Post

2. Scroll to Yoast SEO Section and select social media icon

3. Select the appropriate social media

4. Create Title and description to display on the social media in question

6.  Upload Image if required

6.  Publish / Update the post

7.  Copy the permalink address from post and paste into facebook / twitter

Step by Step Guide

1.  Create / Edit Post

2.  Scroll to Yoast SEO Section and select the social media icon - note if you do not have this section, click on screen options (top right hand corner) and ensure that yoast seo is ticked.

3.  Select the appropriate social media

4.  Create Title and Description

5.  Upload image if required.

6. Publish / Update Post

7.  Right click on permalink and copy link address.

8.  Navigate to social media feed and paste (right click and select paste) URL - you will see preview of what will display.  The heading will direct to the full post.
